Route 1 : Bourg St Maurice - Bourg St Maurice

(88 km - 2500m climb)

The Cormet de Roseland is one of the most beautiful climbs in the Alps. From the twisting and turning road that leaves Bourg St Maurice before opening into a lovely valley that would look more at home in Wales if there was no dramatic view of the Mont Blanc, and then the final dramatic ascent to the Col. The Col du Pre is a steep road that is an alternative route to climb back up to the Lake du Roseland.
